B1022B is a Ford 3cyl 2000 series

B10 (210)= 2000 All purpose 1965-1975
2 = Gasoline
2 = Trans 540 rpm
B = 6x2 speed manual (3x1 + hi/low)

the "C3" serial number start puts the build date in the very early 70's

or a tune up, HP is the last thing you need to know??!!! :roll:

like I said, he doesnt know a thing about the tractor and would like to know more. Hes had it for
many years and just wanted information

His help from this forum will be very limited if he says he doesn't want to buy a manual but wants to know about the tractor. Manuals are about $30 and well worth every penny.

I have one just like that but with cable lift snowblade. Solid little tractor but please encourage your friend to invest in service and OP manuals. Tune up with the vacuum advance distributor is a little tricky.

I agree, he should get both the Service Manual and Operator's Manual. Most of the tune-up procedures and specifications are actually in the Operator's Manual, not in the Service manual. The timing procedure for the mechanical/vacuum advance mechanisms is an exception to that.

Is his objection to buying the manuals a monetary one? There are places on-line that they can be downloaded as PDF's for little or no money, but generally the cheaper they are to get the poorer the quality of the scanned pages will be.
