So tomorrow I need to install an exhaust pipe on an 8N. The old clamp is still good but the bolts of coarse broke when the guy took the old one off. So he asked me to pick up some new bolts so what size and how long?? I'm thinking 5/16 by 2 inch but not sure and the store it between where i am and where he is so want to stop on the way to pick them up so that way I do not have to drive back to the store,
Thanks

The New Holland Parts site lists the bolt as a 5/16 X 18 X 1. There is a second bolt that is a carriage type bolt and is also 5/16 X 18. No length given.

Several years back I replaced those bolts on my 8N with stainless steel. I used 5/16 x 1 1/2 without lock washers. If you want to use lock washers etc. the 1 5/8 lenght per the NH website (as posted) would be the appropriate length.
