I was planting my garden this morning when I noticed the proof meter and the hydraulics stopped working. I'm thinking the pump shaft. I'll get it pulled off tomorrow to have a look. Anything else to look for?
Thanks,
Scott

What happen to the gear on the camshaft? I would think it would be more likely the pump gear lost it's spines to the pump shaft!

The pump gear and pump appear to be OK. The gear on the end of the cam shaft spins freely. It appears that it broke off.

Apparently the 4 1/4 bolts that bolt the cam gear to the camshaft have sheared. Not something that happens on a regular basis but I have seen it happen one other time.(truthfully) You are in for a split job, remove the pressure plate, clutch and flywheel. You will then find a round steel plate held on by 6 screws and there you will probably see the problem.

Yep. I read the procedure in the repair book. I'm going to put it back together and park it out of the way for now. Got too many projects as is. :(

Thanks,

Scott
