9N question

I am looking to purchase a 1940 9N that has a rotten set of what looks to be original closed tread 8x32 tires on it. What I'm wondering is was this a common size back then as I'm only familiar with seeing 28" tires on these models. They look kinda cute but I'm sure hard to find replacements.
Any advice would be appreciated.

The 32 inch tires where an option and not all that uncommon. I sold a guy a 9N that had them and the hat part of the rim was bad and some one had filled it with cement which did two things. Fixed the tube problem and added weight to them

32" tires were stock on the 1940 9n. 28" (oversize) tire were optional. The pair of 28" tires/rims and centers were sold for a whopping $145.

FORD TRACTOR used the 9" x 32" 45? closed center bar tread style on the rears with the new 1939 9N Ford-Ferguson tractor from its introduction on June 29, 1939. The rims were 8 x 32, originally the 6-loop style, then went to the hat rim style. By serial number 12500, early 1940, many changes were introduced and the 10 x 28 tires were now available as options. Those were on 9 x 28 hat rims, and the tire size 10 x 28 was the same as what they now call (renumbered) 11.2 x 28 -same dog. I'd get the rotted tires of ASAP and see how bad the original hat rims have rotted, especially if they were ever loaded with Calcium Chloride.

9/9.5x32" tires are still available, but 10/11.2x28" and 11/12.4x28" would be more readily available. Not sure if new 9x32" rims are available. If you want to change to the 28" rims, you will also need new/used center discs as the discs for the 32" are larger and will not fit the 28". The discs must be from a 1939 to 1942 9N or 1942 to 1947 2N due to the larger bolt pattern on the hub.
