Draft Control Spring Plate: 641 Workmaster

Among other things I purchased a new draft control spring plate listed as a replacement for my '57 Workmaster. The new plate does not have a
pin like the original. Is the pin really needed? I can add the pin to the new plate, just wondering why it didn't come with a pin.

in prevents plunger from rotating when screwing yoke on. Why is it not there? You will need to ask supplier.
