Yet another possible Holley problem?

Had to replace the fuel pump on my 2000 3 cyl, was putting gas in the oil crankcase. Was a difficult job with the radiator in the way but got it done. Tried REALLY hard to keep everything clean but there was a lot of gunk on the front around the pump. Ran great afterwards. Pump came from Ford dealer.

Fast forward a month. Tractor will not start. I run 100% gas, no ethanol. Verified I have spark. Pulled the sight bowl and verified that the pump is still pumping. Screen in bowl had some gunk on it that I cleaned off. Not a lot but more than I expected. Verified that there was gas in the bowl of the carb by draining it.

Wondering if some dirt got by the filter and is blocking a jet in the carb. Hate to tear into the carb blind. The tractor has always run perfect for me since I bought it in 2008 so don't really want to poke a sleeping tiger.

Suggestions?

Inlet needle MAY be stuck to the seat. You could try rapping the plastic handle of a screwdriver against the carb in that area with REASONABLE force, possibly jarring it loose.

Just did the fuel pump on my 3400, cut down a wrench to clear the rad and fan, crazy how long the bolts are. I had some gunk make its way into the line and block it enough to not run, quick blow out with the air compressor fixed that. Is the sediment bowl filling properly? Mine wasn't, that's how I found the blockage. Crazy if gunk made it past all those filters, assuming of course they are set up like the 3000 series

I know you said you had fuel in the float
bowl but you didn't say how much.
But just to cover all the bases here did
you check for blockage in the screen in
the brass fitting where the fuel line
enters the carb?
I'm not positive all tractors had that
screen by the way but think most of them
did.
So please don't cuss me out if you do all
the work to inspect it and find out yours
didn't have one.
