So I got a chance to go over and finish up on that 8N that I was wiring up. The odd wire was in fact an EI and the guy handed me the paper about it and how it needed to be wired up. Got is all wires up and she fired up and ran pretty good. It ran out of gas and the guy did not have any. I left and he called me back about an hour later and said he had fired it up again and it ran just fine then died. He said he has no spark so now I get to figure out if the EI went or if with him hot wiring it that maybe the coil has fried due to not having a ballast resister in the circuit
