Do the Brits have naturally small feet?

So in addition to the other wrenching I've
been doing lately I finally got around to
putting these Brit fenders on the 3000
this week.
Got them a couple of years ago and then
found the wide step plates to go with
them. Painted them up then but never put
them on.
I've always liked how they looked on these
tractors. Better than the N fenders I've
had on it for 10 years.
But they do make it harder to get on and
off the tractor with my size 12
clodhoppers. It's a narrower opening
between the fender and clutch pedal by a
couple of inches. Maybe they have smaller
feet over there.
Am going to have to modify the foot
throttle to work with the wide step plates
too to make it work.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I'm not a fan of the fenders, but, like you, I live in winter
wonderland so I think the wide foot boards would be nice.

I never had them but do like them. They have the big top roll over like the early hundred series. Well since the tractor was built in the sixties I think they were made like that so the brits didn't get their bell bottoms catch in the tires.

(quoted from post at 07:07:44 04/14/17) Well since the tractor was built in the sixties I think they were made like that so the brits didn't get their bell bottoms catch in the tires.

They had a lot more regulations over there, not just in England, but most of Europe, back then, than we did here in the US, and a lot of things were required by law, like the hand brake, a maximum top speed for road use (hence the 7 speed transmissions that were sold in some counties over there instead of the 8 speed), etc. The foot board and fender setup with no gaps for clothing to get through were also required by their regulations.

I have those foot boards and flat top fenders and ROPS from a 10 series on my 4000. Nice combo.
