Don't know much about Ford casting numbers. This is a power unit engine and the only number I can find is in the pic. Wondering what it is.

1972 enginnering number could 172 or 192 in diesel? I have a D6JL that is 172 diesel non runner

Can't really see the D but I think D2NL-6015A would be what it is.

6015 is an engine block..

the d2 is the date, the nl is the type of end use/ service/ design.

the a is the change/improvement of the product as it is produced.

So is a 134, 172, or 192? What year is it?

Again it's a 172
Production date code on the opposite side of block
