5200 upper steering column seal

I suspect that this is about to start leaking? This the output shaft on the steering valve where the steering column/shaft/wheel mounts. If that answer is yes, if I pull the snap ring can I get it out of the top without having to go further into the valve. If so I might wait till I have a leak. The oily look on it is penetrating oil. Trying to get that pin out of the hole near the top of that shaft and won't budge so far.

FYI The remainder of the oil/grime/mess on all the hoses and everything else under the dash appears to be from a leaking aftermarket oil pressure gauge.

Snapring out will let you replace seal. There is more seal parts farther down. That pin hold torsion bar and don't take out. There is very few parts for the old pot type steering motor.

Shaun - thanks for the reply. That seal from New Holland is pricey. North of $30 shipped. I believe I have cross referenced it to common Gates part number that is a couple bucks. If the seal works I will bring this back to the top with the part # in the event someone searches the net and winds up here.
