Ford 4500 pto???

So I just bought what i thought was a Ford 420 industrial tractor but after looking at some numbers I'm thinking it's the 4500 industrial. My question is this. It doesn't have the backhoe but it has 3 point lift arms and i was told, a pto.
It has the pto cap on and when i took it the 4 bolts to get it off it poured fluid out. Do i not have a pto on this tractor? Does the little cap just screw out?

Depends on what was optioned when it was ordered. Can you post the model number from the foil sticker under the hood or stamped on
the bellhousing?

The 4 bolts hold the PTO bearing retainer and it sure would pour oil out if you remove that. The PTO cab does unscrew from the bearing retainer. If i didn't have a PTO there would be a flat cover there instead of a cap.

A 420 will have an alternator and a power steering cylinder attached to a single drag link to the left of the engine.
A 4500 shipped with a generator and the power steering cylinder is in front of the radiator. Both will have the hard nose.

Hey guys thanks for the help so far!
I took the cap off and found the pto... it works so relief!
Here are the numbers I found from the inside of the tractor hood.
Tractor # C536901
Unit # 7D19B
Engine# 7B10C
Transmission# 7C22B
Rear Axle# 7C22B
Hyd Pump# 7B16B
Hyd Lift# 7D01B

It does have the cylinder on the left so it is a 420?

Look on the same tag for the unit model number.
post it here and we can break it down for you completely, but a 420 will start with - "KD2"

your serial number is from 1977
the unit date code breaks down to
7D19B
7= 1977
D= April
19= 19yh day
B= second shift

KD2 is a 420. The second 2 says it has a gas engine. The 4 says it has independent 540 rpm PTO. The K at the end says that it has the K at the end says that it has the 6x4 manual reversing transmission.
