Ford Tractor Front Wheel Weights

So I bought these for my 1963 Ford 2000 tractor which has 16 inch rims on it. These weights are for a 16 inch rim but they don't really fit. They hit the hub which causes them to be kinda sideways inside of the rim and hit the side of the spindle. My question is does anybody know what year these weights would of been available new and is there more to them just the two half moons with bolts when mounting.

Don't know what you have but half moon front 16" wheel weights were made by several manufacturers.

I have several sets and none interfere with either the spindle or the front hub but spindle clearance is close.

Most do, however, prevent removal of the wheel/tire without first removing the weights from the rim.

Here there in the Rim fit good here but then they hit the hub which causes them not fit strait so the bolt isn't strait.

Might be for a later series. Maybe rear weights on a 1600 1900. I have t set that look similar but they are one piece for 1100 series.

Not sure what year those weights are but I would guess they are for a newer tractor. I too have
several sets of the older weights and none of them have Ford spelled out on them. One set I own
have a C5----- # on them and I believe that would mean they came out in 1965. The other sets have
nothing stamped or cast in them & they fit my 63 4000 just fine. Greg NE

Yeah I didn't figure that they were for a vintage tractor but if they fit a 16 inch rim there good for me. But even most of the newer tractors had a 16 inch rim for a long time. Just curious if there was more to them when they were original but anyways thanks guys.

I have a set at work. Almost sold them last month to a guy for a 4 cylinder prior, but they weren't heavy enough for him. As stated, they fit nicely in a 16" rim. I had no way of knowing they wouldn't clear the hub of a vintage tractor. But the bolts with ours were metric, so we got digging around and they seem to be cataloged for the front of a 2WD 1600 compact.

We figured out what they fit, now we also know what they DO NOT fit!! They are right at 45lbs each.

What about maybe just milling it where needed for clearance and it would still look presentable? I'd just grind it myself but nobody expects me to own anything nice... just run and work good.

Yeah that's actually what we ended up doing. Worked out pretty good function but not perfect.
