Trying to upload pics. For the life of me can't figure out why I have 1/4" gap. Measured and measured on 971.4 and a half inches between stop and end of stud.

Measured on my 981 seat. 4 1/2" to the stop
where washer is to end where torsion springs
go. Not good explaining sometimes especially
after long day. Have same measure on this
seat for 871. Everything snug up on 981.
This has 1/4" to spare. The spacer is the
same on both. Just gonna cut me a longer
spacer I guess. Thanks
