Just enough snow was gone and the ground was froze enough that I could drag this 640 parts tractor from out back to the front of the barn for a split. I been soaking the seized engine since last year and it won't budge so it's time to tear it down. I just picked up another 640 with bad trans so I'll switch out the back half with this one.
Always fun splitting tractors in the driveway when the concrete floor space is all tied up. Just hoping for no more snow.

Good luck with the project. You and I have two things in common, Maxwell house coffee and 600 series Fords.

the first ferguson I bought I spilt in my wife's side of the garage. I still get headaches when I think of it. :)

Yea I know what you mean. 40 foot barn,3 car garage, and 2 sheds, loaded to the brim and still got a bunch of tractors that sleep outside under tarps.

Finish with the tractor splits yesterday. Just have to clean the tank, put the muffler, air cleaner on and get the tin on. Drove the tractor and it operated good without any trans or rear noise. I'm happy cause you never really know when you buy a parts tractor what you're getting until you get it running/driving.
