My 1977 2600 lost the lift suddenly. I had my log splitter attached and it was lifting fine. it has plenty of hydraulic power to run the splitter but no lift action at all. Won't even offer with nothing on it. Fluid is full and as I said plenty of pressure.
I pulled the hydraulic cover since many suggested unloader valve stuck. Pulled unloader valve plug and everything was fine and free. Bought all new o-rings from Messicks and reassembled. I tried air checking and all it does is blow air back out the return port no matter what position you move the levers to. Piston is bottomed in cylinder and doesn't offer to move. The control valve in the cylinder housing is free. All linkage is fine, picture attached. Where do I go from here?
I'll have to work on the picture. If i try and post in the text it stops because of content and if I try in the Image URL it says I'm liniking an album. I'm using Photobucket.

Okay I believe I have figured out my problem.I had reassembled the unloader valve and attempted to air ck the system. When i blew air into the hydraulic cover it came right back out the return, never putting any air to the lift controls. I tried tracing the hydraulic flow and kept coming up with a dead end at the check valve at the frt. of the hydraulic cover. I removed the plug, pulled out the spring retainer, spring and ball and cleaned everything and still nothing. After a bit of time reading and more trying to clean and possibly move what they call the ball valve seat I stood the cover up on end without the plug in the ck valve. I blew air into the ports with the aux cover removed and after alternating suddenly it changed sound and air blew out the plug. I reinstalled the plug, spring and ball. installed the aux cover and blew air into the feed tube. I could then get the lift to work with the controls. I put everything together and the lift works. Seems all of my problems were in the check valve which is horizontal at the frt. of the cover. It's right behind the lip where the halves join together.
