I have said before that I don't think there is such a thing as a rare Ford tractor.
Though maybe the early aluminum hood 9Ns and the few true Funk 8Ns with the Ford V8s
qualify as rare.
But this one has to be right up there approaching rare.
I've never seen an LP model in person and having it on an RC has got to be uncommon.
Looks like they had a little too much loader on it judging by the bent axle. That spindle probably won't be easy to find.
I dont think I would put a loader on one of these.
Cool tractor though.
4200 LP

I would consider it a rare tractor but I don't think the axle is bent. It would appear to me that we have a wheel bearing problem or maybe a bent wheel.

First 4000 roll crop with LP that I've ever seen, but there never where many LP tractors in this area..
Axle looks ok, looking at the gap in the bottom of the hub I'd say it's got a inner wheel bearing out.
Dunham or Farm Hand 22 loader is a good fit for a 4-5000 tractor, 4200 roll crop axle may be a little light for loader work.
I have a Farm Hand 22 that I've adapted to work on my 4500 in place of the heavy 750 loader that was on it. All it's used for is moving and feeding round bales of hay.
Some don't like the single dump cylinder in the middle but it's pretty stout.
Friend of my had a Dunham 22 loader on a 990 David Brown they used in the log woods for years.

That's an LP gas powered 4200 (row crop chassis in the 4000 series). Around here it is rare just because there were few, if any, LP powered tractors during that time. There are some parts of the country where the LP tractors were very popular, and the oil rich states like Oklahoma and neighboring state like Nebraska, where they were very popular because LP gas was a cheap by-product of the oil fields.

Well I am not a Ford guy but I would like to own that tractor. The price seems good for what your getting. The row crop and propane make it pretty rare to me. The loader is just icing on the cake so to speak.

Was at a neighborhood farm sale few years ago and there was a 960 Ford on propane. Probably set up to run a corn drier, that is what propane tractors were used for here.
