881 D fuel tank

Fuel tank is fixed, but I need to replace the o-ring that goes on the shutoff valve and tank.

I know I've seen messages showing the dimensions of the o-ring. Can someone give me the size?

Put tank on and put fuel in and tank is leaking worse than before it was fixed. :evil:

Took it back off and hopefully have it back this week. Going to put some fuel in it before I put back on this time!!!

Make sure you get an O-ring rated for diesel. Diesel Fuel will eat up one that isn't.

Hi Larry,

My o-ring kit is resistant. Tank is leaking where it was cracked and repaired. So the guy has to do it again. Hopefully he gets it this time!

Got the tank back today. The guy couldn't believe it was leaking worse than before he fixed it. He then said he thought he pressure tested it, but wasn't sure if the air was on in his testing hose......Guess it was a senior brain fart moment. lol

Tank is back on, NO LEAKS(so far). Had it running today for a bit, adjusted the brakes, packed wheel bearings. Going to try and get fenders and loader brackets back on Thursday. Going to work it on the dyno Saturday and then re-check trans bands.
