The Ford hundred series always look so different than a car starter when you pull it forward out of the bell housing....
There is some kind of clutch/spring on the end that seems to have pulled out on my starter and doesn't want to engage and go back into place. It was not like that when the starter came out, but my son kind of wound it out. Is there trick to that going back in? I thought about adding battery voltage but maybe I'm missing something simple. It seems like last time I did one of these, it would come out and in rather easy.
thanks in advance, MODAY
