A friend of mine has a 1971 ford 3000 gas that stopped running last week while snow ploughing. I got it running again after replacing the points that were burnt. I will check and make sure if the coil needs a resistor or not. My friend is let's say a patcher and god only knows what is in there. My question is this the starter Bendix will not engage and I think it needs to be replaced. Never done this before and wondering if this is a hard job. While I am working on the starter I was also thinking of replacing the starter solenoid. Just wondering if there is any suggestion. Thank you all.
