Ford NAA leveling box

My leveling box is stripped on the lower fork. How do you separate the shaft from the fork? It slides up and down but then stops at a certain point. Thanks, Rick

I don't know for sure but I believe that it is welded at the end of the shaft, so it would be just a tiny bit of weld on the end of the shaft keeping it from slipping off.

It is totally threaded, so keep turning. Some force might have to be used since the threads are messed up

Turns out the shaft threads were worn in the middle. I did get it to turn off the fork. It seems the threads in the fork are alright, so I'm going to replace the shaft and thrust bearing. YT is just across the
Puget Sound from me, so I get really fast shipping! Thanks all for your help.
