4000D update

All, I finally got back to the 4000D. Been tied up with work and pasture building and garden prep and haven't been able to work on this old girl. I drained the diff/hydro sump yesterday to fix some leaks. Boy was I surprised when I only got about 4 gallons of fluid out. And by fluid I mean a watery semi oily substance that was nowhere near being an acceptable lubricant! I swapped out both brake rod seals and the PTO seal while it was drained. Luckily for me this was one of the early tractors that I pulled the seal plate off the back without having to pull the entire shaft assembly out. I also dumped the oil in the trans to replace it. I did actually get 4 gallons out of it. It was super milky but actually closer to being oil than what was in the rear. Hoping to get the old girl out on the disk today to work her hard now that she's getting closer to being in work ready condition. I can't thank you all again for the help you have offered me along the way. I'll get pics and video up once she's out in the sunshine again.
