Tell me about 2000's

I found this Ford 2000, 3 cylinder gas, with the 4 speed tranny. No power steering. I know it's not the preferred 2000, but for the price, I'm not sure I can pass it up.

Any weak spots on these I should check?

With the 4 speed tranny there would be no LPTO or Live power correct?

My first 3 cylinder Ford was just like that one - 4 sp, no PS.
They are great small tractors. 1st gear on the 4 speeds are rather fast. Too fast for some.
I didn't mind it.
Pliwed and mowed with it for a couple of years and liked it a lot.
Reverse was normal. Far better than the 8N I sold to get it.
Great small tractors. About the same HP as a 600,601,2000 prior.
I like the 3 cyls much better than the 4 cyls. Think they are easier to work on.
Know they are more rugged.
PIA to put points in.
Never trust the hour meter - ever.
No lpto on 4 speed.

Ment live hydraulics, yep.

Guess I should have also clarified it "runs and drives, good rubber" according to the ad.

Around me, NJ, PA, DE, that is a about a $2000 tractor. I purchased a 75 2000 about 4 years ago but it did have power steering and 8 speed, for $2500. I use fuel stabilizer and always run it out of gas when not using for a while and it has never let me down. Always starts. Pulled some very large trees and use spring tooth chisel on unplowed soil. I think the only major thing the 4 speed would limit you is if you had a pto tiller.
