removed all hydraulic oil from both tranny and rear axial. According to manual the unit should take a total of 28 liters. Started filling from 18 liter pail and after just just 10 or more liters the tranny area was full right to the cap. Waited for 30 minutes, the level did not go down at all.

Manual says rear axial and tranny are one common area.....why is this unit not taking all the oil ???? Looks to me that just tranny area is full and rear area not getting oil back there.

(quoted from post at 15:49:39 03/09/17) just asking, but is there more than one drain plug and tractor wasn't empty?
there are 2 plugs for draining all oil, first one bottom of tranny and second under rear axial housing.

I was thinking there were also drain plugs on the final drive housings too, but it's been over 20 years since I've been around one

what the manual says and shows is that the tranny and rear axial have a common housing,,,,why is the oil not getting to the axial area.
