Ford 600 questions...

Can I use the bolts in the top corners of the cylinder head to hold the engine up with a cherry picker until I can split the tractor and pull the back away....
They look like 3/8 inch bolt holes but they are near the corners of the head but I think that they will hold. I will be lifting the front axle and all but will maybe pull the front away (or push the back)....

Also, the front fan has some interesting welded square nuts to the backside. Are those to be welded or rusted in place? I have two come off and two stayed on the fan. Don't think it matters and orientation should not matter but I thought is was an interesting observation when I took it apart.

3) Lastly, where do I remove the oil pressure line? It's behind the hydraulic pump so it looks like I have to remove the line from the gauge but I expect something to break. Any experience on that?

4) I already broke the ECT sending unit tube at the engine.

thanks, Mike

Probably but, lot's of folks, including me, leave the hood on and split the tractor by removing the four steering box mounting bolts and support it at the steering wheel, all hood, dash, ,battery box and tank bolts there and tight
