Ford 8700 replacement block?

I am just taking apart an 8700 Ford. The block has a casting number #87840645 in raised numbers on right side by oil
pan rail. It also has a bolt on rear crankshaft rear oil seal housing. Was this a replacement block? Was this block
used as an original block on a newer tractor? Any help would be appreciated!

Yes, and my guess is that it says "NH" on it somewhere as well, instead of "Ford". It's definitely a replacement block, so you'll need the rear main seal carrier gasket for a later TW or 8030 series, which is where this block would have been used. You'll also need a head gasket for 9/16" bolt holes.
