Ford 3000 Stabilizer arm?

My 3000 presently has a single solid stabilizer which is a real PTA when I move the tractor between implements. Have to use the top link pin to tie it to the lift arm. Have seen the newer adjustable links (link on YT below) but not sure they would work. The solid bar has a crook in it so the bar itself hangs a little below the mount under the fender. The adjustable bars look like they mount straight and wondering if they might have a clearance issue with the axle.

Also, not sure I like the idea of drilling another hole in the lift arm but guess that could be offset with a welded bar under the arm for added strength.
Really like the idea of the stabilizer bars being permanently connected to the lift arms and not having to deal with them when I don't have anything on the 3 point.

So anyone updated your stabilizer bars and how did it work out?

I have a similar (but larger) set on my 7000. Much nicer than the rigid bars. They use their own mounts under the axle - the ones you have now won't work with them - no clearance issues.

Not sure if that setup will work on a 3000, the one in the link is for a 2910, 3910, 4610 series that uses the heavier 4000 series rear axle and lift system. The drop down bracket for that axle centers the stabilizer with the lift arm mount so that they pivot on the same axis, 3000 lift arms mount higher on the axle housing and use a shorter stabilizer bracket.

The clevis bracket to the left of the photo bolts to the tractors stabilizer brackets on the rear axle, the other end attaches to the lift arm where the link rod is attached, no extra holes need to be drilled.

I put a stabilizer linkage kit like that on a 5600 attaching it to the factory brackets and it works ok, but the factory stabilizer links have the brackets mounted farther out on the axle past the fender mounting bolts, I don't think a 3000 axle has but one mounting location.

Of course modifications can be made and it is a nice setup.

Ford 2000; 3 cyl. gas; 4/1....for the plain jane stabilizer bars on my 2000 I rigged up a hanger chain from the fender to keep the stabilizers up and within reach. I'll try to attach a photo of the chain hanger....

My recently past uncle had a 3000 he bought new. He had the solid bars and welded a bolt about 1 1/2" long on the bottom side of each bar. This let you lay the bar on top of the lift arm without it sliding off. Nathan
