Lift shaft bushing Help

Ok, Tractor is a 1972 4000SU. I am attempting to replace the lift shaft bushings. The bushings I ordered stated that they were for a Ford 4000. But, they are too small, both inside and outside. New ones are 2 3/8" O.D. Old bushings are 2.5" O.D. Mine look more like the size for a 5000.

Casting#s are N2 1E27 C5NN 501K
Stamped #s are 1F9B 1888 4
If anyone can decipher those numbers and let me know what it is I would appreciate it.

Sounds like you got bushings for a 4 cylinder 4000 (DBPN531C) or 3000 series 3 cylinder (DBPN531A)
3 cylinder 4000 uses (DBPN531B), updated # 81825129

Yes they are aftermarket. The part number is 9N531C
They are listed to fit a 4000 but don't say if it is for a 3 or 4 cyl.
While I have you, can you tell me what the difference is in brake cross shafts? The one I have is 1 1/8" and then drops to 1" at end where RH brake pedal is. I ordered a new shaft for a 4000 and is is 1 1/8" the entire length of the shaft so I can not get RH brake pedal on.

Sounds like everything they sent you is for a 4 cylinder model
What after market company are you getting parts from?

I didn't find lift top bushings on this site but the brake shaft they list is for a 2-3000 and is not the correct shaft for a 3 cylinder 4000.
Not sure what the aftermarket price is for a 4000 shaft but I'd have it welded up and turned down to size before I bought a new factory one.

Are these shafts and bushings worn out? I have three 4000's with original brake shafts and lift top bushings, one has a small amount of looseness in the lift top bushings but not enough to warrant replacement yet, another was some dampness around the brake shaft seals but no sloop in the shaft and bushings.

Yea, lot of play in all bushings and brake seals leaking. I just decided to do a full restoration on it and keep it. Already been through the engine and front end. Working on rear now before I start sheet metal and paint.
