Cab Heater '91 - 7710 II

..Yesterday my heater blower seemed to make it's last revolution in my 7710. Off and on it's been shuddering kinda like a bearing in the motor or something was failing. At times it would stop but with a little encouragement(a firm thump on the overhead console)would set things back in order..All that being said, in the event it can't be repaired, where would I buy one, or is the motor a more common part used in other brands..It's Winter, 'nuff said...thanks to ALL at Yesterdays Tractor Forum.

From the parts drawing it looks like the original part number for the motor was E0NN18456BA. It was used in a number of different Ford and New Holland tractor models, so it appears to still be available new for around $400.00 from any New Holland dealer. The re-manufactured part number is E0NN18456BAR which you can probably find for a bit less. tractor-part.com shows Alexander Tractor Parts as having a re-manufactured one in stock, but you would have to call them for their price.

Also, it looks like at least one company makes an aftermarket version, which is about $100.00 to $125.00 dollars less than the New Holland motor. Walt's Tractor Parts carries it as part number UF99008 for $278.57.

Here's something I found a little humorous. In searching Google, it looks like Amazon and Newegg.com carry it also, but their listings say it's for John Deere tractors, but all of the models listed that it claims to fit are Ford and New Holland models.

I've never replaced one... but I'd take a look at the fan bearings before I bought a motor. IIRC, you access all that stuff from the top by
removing the roof.

I had one on a Case quit working once. I got the cover off and got access to the bearings and found that it had bronze bushinngs. I oiled them and it ran well after that.

I'm pretty sure the bearings are part of the motor. That said, to the OP, I would not purchase a blower assy from NH. I'd look for a number on the motor and look elsewhere. It's a pretty simple 12V motor.

That's what I'll do Bern...I'm with you on this..it's just a 12v motor as long as I can find one that mounts the same, has the right shafts, and is four wire.. Thanks for all the info Folks

My fan motor quit about two years ago,it was a tough job removing the fan motor.Seemed to us that the a/c heater and fan was assembled (in
Basildon) on a bench and hoisted up on top of the cab, with little thought to how the fan motor will be replaced later. i went with a new
holland replacement motor($$$) because other motors we checked out needed different wiring etc

The wiring was a concern, I noticed some of them was two, three, and four wire .? thanks Jo-ker.
