What tool(s) do you guys use to tighten the fittings on the injector lines to keep them from leaking?
Back story... 71 3000 diesel CAV pump. Last summer I noticed the bottom injector line was leaking at the fitting on the pump. I tried my best to tighten it but was unable to stop the leak. This winter I ordered a new set of injector lines from this site, removed the banjo fittings to be sure they were OK and installed new seals plus the new injector lines. BTW: aftermarket lines are a real chore to install, they don't fit near as well as they should. Had to re-bend everyone to get them on.
Anyway, now all three are leaking at the pump fittings, you can just barely get an open end wrench on the fittings much less something like a crows foot that would allow you to really tighten the durn things. Can't even get to the top rear one without first taking off the one in front of it.
So what's the trick to getting these fittings tight enough to keep them from leaking?
