Scored some ROPS!

Just picked up very reasonably priced ford ROPS for my 2000. I know they are hard to come by. I just hope I can get it in the 7 foot barn door. Tractor is at my cabin so can't measure. Bottom plate has mount for stabilizer bars. Have to look for seat belt now.

I have the same basic ROPS on my '73 4000. Mine may be a bit taller than the one for the 2000, and I have 13.9-38 rear tires, and the top of mine is right bout 8 and a half feet off the ground.

If I might ask, what is a reasonable price range?
I have a similar set that I do not need here in Michigan.

I guess I will just frame out a bigger door on the barn. In Centre County PA in the mountains. Lots of hilly terrain, it will be a good upgrade.
Yes Kirk, on craigs.
Kirk, he did have a incomplete set of plate weights (did not have the starter plates or extender nuts), but looking close at them, they had 4 dimples. The 2 sets I have, have 3 dimples so they would not work together. Never seen the 4 dimple.

Royse...I have a 3 cylinder Ford 2000 and bought a used factory rops just like the one beginning this string of emails from a guy in Perry, GA for $300. It had a canopy frame welded to it. Before I installed it, I found another exact factory model without canopy frame for $100 which I bought because I didn't want the canopy. I sold the $300 one for $300 on CraigsList. So, prices vary as you can see.

Forgot to say that the $300 rops came with the 3/4" thick mounting plates that go underneath the axle. The threaded holes were pretty rusty so I chased them out with a bolt with a cutting groove cut in it. Did a pretty good job of cleaning out the rust and gunk from sitting in the dirt a long time. Those plates have the sway bar bracket welded to them. The $100 rops did not come with the plates but I kept them and still sold the $300 rops for $300. Now I gotta get a pal to help me lift that heavy thing up on the axles so I can bolt on the rops and fenders.

Thanks guys, I was just looking for a fair range.
I have a ROPS rated cab on my 3000 so I don't need them,
but if you take a look in the background at how flat my land
is, you can see that I really don't need either for that purpose.

Good point Jim, ROPS doesn't provide much protection
if you don't stay under them in a rollover.

Ford 2000; 3 cyl gas; 4/1 trans....Regarding seat belts...someone on this forum recommended a seat belt that uses a lever release, not a button release. If you're hanging upside down and belted in, getting a button release to work will be difficult. Lever action much better.
