Plug Wires on a 2000

Ford 2000; 3 cyl. gas; 4/1 trans....I submitted this post yesterday and got an email saying there was a message but, when I clicked on the link, the message I submitted was not there, just the subject line. So, here's my post again....

When I bought my tractor several months ago the owner gave me a package of leftover carb kit parts and a new set of plug wires he said he got from Steiner. He said he couldn't get the wires to fit onto the plugs and I had the same problem. The diameter of the rubber boot prevents the boot from slipping over the plug and snapping onto the plug tip. I'm gonna try to wire brush a small amount of that diameter off the rubber boots so they will fit down like they should. I realize I want a snug fit and wanted to ask if anyone else had such a problem and if the fix would work.

Thanks for your input.

I haven't tried it Marcus, so I can't answer that question.
The reason your post doesn't show up is because you have
another vendor's name in it. Remove that and it should work.

If the other vendor is Spa rex save your money. Their 3 cylinder tailored wire set is junk and they refused to make good on the three sets I
purchased as a dealer for their line. I sold two which were returned for crossfiring right out of the package and the third I threw out before
somebody wanted to buy them.
