53 Jubilee fluid leak

I posted this in the 8N forum, but was getting no replies, I thought I'd try over here. My 53 Jubilee had a pinhole leak in the radiator. Today I took the hood off and used some Bars Leaks and think I managed to seal the radiator. While I was running the tractor to warm the engine for the leak sealant, I noticed some fluid leaking from the bell housing. On closer inspection, the fluid seems to be coming from behind the starter. I can't tell if it is engine oil or trans fluid. Engine oil level was fine before running the tractor. I took off the trans plug by the shifter, trans fluid seemed low and had a lot of bubbles. I decided to drain the trans fluid, and only got out about a gallon of thin, dirty fluid. This is my first ever tractor to own, and it's barely been driven since I've had it. I had noticed some fluid on the ground underneath before, but it seemed to be a leaking hydraulic line that I have yet to repair. I read on other forums about the cotter pin drain underneath, it doesn't seem to be plugged. I bought new trans fluid tonight, plan to refill everything tomorrow. Is there a way to tell if it's oil or trans fluid? It was so dirty I couldn't tell. It's leaking at a fairly good pace.

A small oil leak out of the cotter pin hole is normal if the transmission has a Sherman in front of it and it gets shifted a lot. Learned that lesson the hard way last summer.

It does have a sherman hi/lo, but I didn't see fluid coming from the cotter pin hole, it's coming from behind the starter and dripping down the bell housing.

Can you take a picture and attach it, that will help a ton. The NAA/Jubilee tractors didn't have anything near that starter that could be leaking down that I'm aware of unless the oil sending unit is there.

Worked all morning draining and refilling all fluids. Changed engine oil to 15w40, used 80w90 in trans, 134d in hydraulics. Cleaned and refilled air intake. The leak is still there. Still looks to be coming from behind the starter, and also dripping off the front of the starter. I'll try to post pics. It looks like it almost has a greenish color to it, but I suspect engine oil. I guess you have to use a site like photo bucket to post pics?

Photo Attaching

Forget that big "Choose File" button lower down that you've probably tried.
That method hasn't worked since this YT Forum developed problems a while back, where the normal photo uploading method ceased to function as did the option to go back and EDIT (change) what you had posted.

Below where I am typing this to you right now,
You'll see: ADVANCED POSTING TOOLS in a red banner heading.

In the blue colored options there, click:
[b:dc19da1232]Upload Photo[/b:dc19da1232]

THEN in new pane that opens --> [b:dc19da1232]Choose File[/b:dc19da1232]

THEN ---> [b:dc19da1232]Upload [/b:dc19da1232]

THEN if you are satisfied that the visual preview is your chosen photo,
click the [b:dc19da1232]CONTINUE[/b:dc19da1232] button just above the little preview of your photo.
the photo link will appear in the text body of your post.

Finally, click the usual big [b:dc19da1232]SUBMIT[/b:dc19da1232] button that you normally use to post a message.

Don't worry about filling in all the other fields in that pane; i.e., Make, Model, Year etc. It isn't necessary to add that info.
