9700 Dual Power

Seems to take a long time to make an upshift under load, (6-16s) but tractor never stops moving. As I don't prefer full throttle up-shifts, I cut back to 3/4 throttle to make the shift, and the tractor dang near comes to rest before it grabs the next gear. It never makes slippery, sloppy shifts; it hooks up and pulls hard but I just don't like the interval. What's to be done?

Sounds to me like a major loss of flow from the PTO side of your hydraulic pump. Get a pressure gauge into that system and test it ASAP. Until you get this issue figured out, leave the Dual Power in low and don't shift it. Continued operation like this WILL damage it.
