640 dizzy rebuild

I have a 640 that starts to run rough when you are working it,I thought it was the points but i cleaned them and still the same. I went
to clean them again and noticed some play in the dizzy shaft, could this be my problem. Looking at the manual the rebuild is pretty
streight forward rebuild other than reaming the bushing to fit.Is there a trick to getting this right,I have a 1/2 ream but that's to big
according to the manual. Do I need to get the hole kit or just the bushing. THANKS FOR THE HELP

Start with a bit of trouble shooting. If it runs good till you get it working hard and warmed up good check your spark. It might be as easy as a bad coil. My 841S did that years ago and I found it to be a coil going bad. Replaced the coil with one off an old Chev I had and I have not had any problem since
