961 muffler and extension pipe

Does anyone know if the horizontal muffler (#310079) and extension pipe (# M1110) are compatible that are sold on this site? Dimensions read outlet on muffler is 1 7/8" O.D. and inlet on extension pipe is 1 5/8 I.D.. I'm thinking it's close enough with thickness of pipe to work it into muffler outlet. Just want to make sure before I order them from here. Also, if anyone has one of those "Y" type brackets that bolts in the 2 holes of the tank frame to support the exhaust muffler and pipe, I'd like to buy it if you have an extra one laying around. Having a hard time locating one.

I can't imagine that we would not have heard about it if they didn't go together. That Y piece is available from Fiat, but at NAA5288B $48.65 I think that I would weld one up out of some scrap.

The rear pipe section of the under slung exhaust
was used for the vertical pipe when doing the
conversion. Cut to desired height. This is what the
dealership told me.

Tom, I purchased a muffler & curved pipe (muffler down to extension to rear) from this site for a 1955 960 & they both fit perfectly. Then I got too cheap to purchase the bottom extension pipe & used a short half of an $11 Menard's electrical conduit for that! It fit so well that I am planning on buying another pipe & changing my '57 960 over to the same setup. (I already have the other half of the extension!:&lt
