3pt lift problems on 2600 diesel

The lift has always worked fine on my 2600. Today I hooked up my log splitter which attaches to the 3pt lift and is powered by the tractor hydraulics. I have an aluminum block at the hydraulic cover under the seat that the hoses attach to. I hooked the hoses up and lifted the splitter and went to the wood lot to split. I worked in one area and everything worked fine. Lifted the splitter and went to the next area. Split a trailer load of wood with no problems splitting white oak. When I went to go to the house the lift wouldn't work. Splitter works fine but lift would not work. Disconnected the splitter and hooked the hoses together as they have to be for the lift to work, still wouldn't lift. Took splitter off and still wouldn't lift with nothing on the arms. The shaft is moving when I move the lift control. I can hear a difference in the hydraulic flow when I move the draft lever. What quit? What should I ck first?

I'm not sure on those later model x600 series, but I believe the remote valve is before the 3 point control valve in the flow like it is on the earlier models, which makes sense since you have to loop the hoses when nothing is connected to the remote, and so it could be a valve in the 3 point system is stuck open, like the relief valve or the unloader valve.
