Wanted to let everyone know that the rod seal kit can be had at this link for a fraction of the price the CNH and Messicks wants for theirs.

Ordered one and its spot on for the seals. All 5 components. $16.95

This is for the 5/8" rod on the cylinder.

Thanks, I bookmarked it. While on the subject, it is rare for that seal to wear and not have the the accumulated dirt wear the chrome off at the mid point underneath. Then you need a new rod. I tried repairing one with epoxy a few years ago. I cleaned the damaged area real well then put the epoxy in, then smoothed it down nicely. It seems to be lasting well.

Thats my next thing to tackle. The rod is worn exactly where you said it is but manageable. What epoxy did you use? Regular or something simular to J B weld?

I used JB weld or equivalent.
