Ford 800 reproduction Temp Guages

Does anyone else hate these poor quality tractor parts everyone sells. I have used 2 different re-pop temp gauges on my 800 series tractors and I had to make a shim washer because the nut would bottom out in the head before the probe would tighten up.

Experience has taught me to avoid aftermarket parts if possible.

Okay, i am about to buy guages for a old 601/671.. so what brand of gauges would you use?

When it comes to Fords, what new parts aren't aftermarket? New Holland buys the parts from the same aftermarket sources.

I dont recommend the Sparex brand. The temperature gauge I got from steiner didnt have a name brand on (also from china) but it is a very
correct looking gauge and came with a aluminum washer to solve my problem. Also the fitting that screws into the head has a beefy hex on it
that is easier to deal with.
