I am thinking of selling my 1959 model 971 Ford Gold Demonstrator. I need help establishing a value or asking price. I am hoping I can get a little help from the members here.

It has a recent restoration and has been meticulously taken care of ever since. The serial number and the fact that several areas where the original gold paint was left uncovered during the restoration proves that it is a true gold demonstrator.

Let me know your thoughts.

saw some ford gold demos on meccums tonight go for around 25000 if that helps If it were mine that's who I would see about selling it Better feild of collectors available than trying it alone

I feel if advertised here or c-list it may bring 5k , if
your want top dollar you need Dan mecum.

I agree pretty much with the others. That appears to be an excellent restoration, but you need to cast a very large net such as ebay in order to draw the right buyer. The guy that would pay $25,000 could very well be out there if you can find him. Otherwise I would say $6500-$7500 if it is as nice as it looks.

The $25,000.00 one on the Mecum auction wasn't nearly as pretty as this one either. Of course that likely meant it was pretty much original yet.
