Jubilee Hyd Pump

I'd like to thank all who responded to my perceived clutch problem. The engine after the overhaul is back in place, with most of the bucket frame bolted in. My question is, since I had the hydraulic pump removed for the overhaul is mandatory to bleed the pump on startup? Since the distributor was also removed, although I marked its position, being a realist there is going to be a lot going on and I really wanted to get an idea if the pump needed to be bleed and how long could it run without bleeding before one has a problem. Anyone has any experience with the pump, it's a piston type?
THanks

I would prime the pump but once that is done you should not have to bleed it

When I prime one I like to use a thick oil like 80W-90 but you do not need a lot of it to prime it
