Ford 600 question 2

I think the hydraulic pump goes with the engine when you separate a ford 600? Do I drain the system or just remove the 3 bolts at the manifold below the pump and let it drain there? I think that has to be apart to superset two halves? I'm just getting ready to tackle this and I need to review the shop manual......thanks in advance

Pump stays with engine. Drain system or it will all come out when you split tractor. There are two o rings where the three bolts secure manifold for pressure and suction.

no manual needed to simply find drain.

Look under tractor.

crankcase has a drain plug, move back, transmission has a drain, move back, hyds has a drain. the drain for the hyds is ont he center section.. that's the part the seat is bolted to.

(quoted from post at 12:47:43 01/02/17) I will look in manual for hydraulic drain location

If you do look, look in the Operator's Manual (aka Owner's Manual). It probably won't be in the service manual. Routine maintenance items are covered in the Operator's Manual and they usually do not repeat that stuff in the Service Manual.
