Ford 800 pto shaft

I replaced the baring and seal on the pto shaft and replaced it now the pto drive will not disengage. Cant figure out what I did.

Sounds like you do not have the PTO shiftier lined up as it need to be so the couple is in the engaged position no matter where you move the shiftier. You need to remove the cover plate with the PTO shiftier and make sure the couple is lined up and moves freely

Thanks I will try that tomorrow. That sounds like the problem the lever is frozen and want move.

Means lever is not in the groove it need to be in so you in turn cannot move it because it is out of place

I removed the cover plate and put the lever where it was suppose to be but the lever will not move and disengage the pto. Do I need to remove the pto shaft and the reposition the pto lever?
