I have a ford 641D tractor the 3pt hitch will not move up or down. the tractor has not been used for a couple of years. what should I look for? the fluid levels in the hyd is up to full. thanks in advance.

Try bleeding the air out at the pump first. Loosen the large plug on the top of the pump body and start the engine. let the air bubbles work themselves out and when the fluid is running clear around the loosened plug with no bubbles tighten up the plug and see if the lift works then.

One like that can be a number of things and this time of year even more. As said maybe lost prime. Or the system ha a lot of water in it and it is frozen. Or the control is stuck due to sitting a long time.

I would slowly open up the drain plug just to the point it starts to drip. If it is water I would change the fluid.
Next I would try priming the pump. I would do the drain test first that way if it is full of water you are less likely to harm the pump.
If those 2 do not fix it then I'd pull the inspection cover off and make sure thing are moving as they should be

I tried using cheap universal Hydraulic fluid in my Jubilee. 3 pt didn't want to work in winter. I put in CHN 134 and all is fine now.

Another time my 3 pt lever wouldn't move in winter. I looked through the fill hole and saw frost covered control levers, all froze up. There is no vent in sump. Good chance sitting around condensation got in sitting around.

If you have to bleed pump, you may have underlying pump issues. I had to bleed my pump every time to get it to work. Took pump apart and discovered a broken spring.

GOOD LUCK you may have more than one problem.
