Fuel pump bleeder

Changed the fuel filters on my 4610 the other day and could not get the bleeder bolt to quit seeping. Think I over tightened it and must have stripped the threads in the housing because the threads on the bolt look ok. Now it won't tighten at all and is just pouring furl. Is there any fix short of replacing the whole assembly?

You might try wrapping the bolt with thread tape or alumnium foil. Just "snug" the bolt. This is a very temporary fix. Best be looking for another filter housing.

Can you find a "dowty washer" to fit on the bolt (aluminum washer with O-ring molded inside)?

They will seal if the bolt is even finger-tight.

plug it with epoxy, drill and tap new hole?

however.. it must be clean, and it must be clean, and it must be clean or the epoxy will not work.
