4200 and picker

Got the motor rebuilt in the 4200 and put the picker on it I've had for a couple years waiting on a tractor. Picker is in excellent condition and worked flawlessly. Guy I got it from bought it from his neighbor who bought it new and he said it's only been wet twice in its life and I believe it.

Here's a link to a video of it picking

Nice and hopefully it will never be scrapped. Tractor and mounted picker is one of those situations where I can enjoy them regardless of the make. Maybe if I had to run one way back in the day I would feel different.

Looking good, liked the videos of it and your other pickers.

Not telling you how to pick corn but we always ran the nose higher in tall corn with the snapping rolls just under the ear, that way there was less stalk going through the rolls increasing the life of the quartz or rubber rolls.

Here's a pic of my 4000 with the 601 picker I dug out of a barn it had been setting in 30 years, a little oil and grease, a link out of the elevator chain and it picked 600 bushels with no issues.
