Row crop with single front wheel

Interesting row crop with single front wheel.

Any idea what caused the white residue on the tractor (oxidation, dust, overspray...)?

NICE OLD TRACTOR 900 BOISE

Nice! Is this yours? By the looks of the surrounding terrain, I'd surmise the tractor was exposed to the natural elements and got a good sand-blasting...

I have seen those before. Question is, when you are at the end of the row and stomp the brake, simultaneously releasing the steering wheel and letting the tractor make it's own pivot in it's track, which cooperates better, the single or twin V?

Price is right I would say.
Someone here should grab it. I kinda wish I could find one of those single front pedestals. It will fit on my later 3 cyl narrow front tractor.
See Tracto-man's post below for one of those.
I would guess someone went over it with a can of primer.
Thanks for the link Mike. Stuff like this is always enjoyable to see.

I see the knob on the end of the left side SOS controller is broken off. Mine ('63 4000 wide front) was like that too, same side. Often thought about switching sides but never got around to it. Gave the tractor to my son.

Thanks for posting.
I like RowCrop Fords, so I would save any I buy, no matter what condition.....
but...gotta say...my brain is starting to hurt adding up the prices of all the high demand parts on that tractor.

I agree with Ultradog, looks like gray primer that has faded to white over the years, and also with Tim Daley in that it looks like it was sandblasted by the wind over the years after the primer was applied.

Wheels and tin look straight and pretty good for the most part. Seat too! Wonder how free and operational the engine/tranny are...
It has moved "recently" given the tracks in the dirt around there...though maybe not under it's own power. Would take a look if closer.
