Hi all.
Any tips on starting my 641 gas motor when it's cold outside. This is my first winter with it, so I'm still learning.
Once the tractor does finally start it runs like a top. No smoke at idle or under load coming out the tail pipe. When it first fires it pours gray smoke until it warms up.
If I put it in the garage over night (40ish degrees) she turns over in just a few seconds and runs great.
Right now she lives outside (0-15 degrees). It is a major struggle to get it to start. I do not have any kind of heater on it.
I live it 8600ft so compression generally is poor - like 95psi. That said - when the weather is warm this tractor starts in 2-3 seconds every time.
I'm running autolite 437 plugs in it. Pulled one today and it was pretty black. Maybe it's time for new plugs?
Any suggestions????
