1966 Ford 3500 has no 3 point lift at all. Not sure what the problem is. I did remove the top cover and found the lift arms really stuck due to rust. Got them freed up and all put back together. Still not working. I did remove the 5" round cover from left and don't any oil movement at all when tractor is running. While i had the cover off i did wash out the return line filter. Anyway all else looked ok so i put the cover back on. Still no lift. Do i need to bleed the system? if so how do i do that?

One other thing i noticed today was a brazed up suction line at the flange on the right side of the housing. It looks to be well brazed and all ok but not sure if this is factory or someone elses handy work

Yes, try bleeding the pump
For all intents and purposes your 3500 is
the same as a 3000 with the exception of the
front axle, steering and hard nose.
Same engine, transmission, rear end, brakes,
3 point, etc. So do yourself a favor and get
yourself a repair manual for it. It will
explain how to bleed the pump (which is very
easy) plus a lot of other stuff.
$30 - Cheap
I&T FO 31 Manual Money well spent

Bled the pump today and all works good now. Talked to the PO this morning and he said it been years since he used the 3 point. understandable cuz the arms were so stuck. I'm a happy camper now and onto the next problem with this tractor.
