What model do you think it is?

I saw this on CL, anyone wants to take a stab at what model it is?
Maybe 2000/3000? Decals don't look quite right.
Ad says it's a '78 but doesn't mention the model.

It's got a generator, so it's not a 1975+, as they switched to an alternator with the x600 series in '75. So that would make it a 1968-1975 2000/3000 series since it has the non-louvered hood sides and non-wrap-around grill. The wheels and tires make it look like a lcg model, but the fenders don't agree, so my guess would be a 1968-1974 2000 or 3000 ag chassis model with non-stock wheels and tires.

... but my money would be on it being a 2000 since they were the ones most people set up with the turf tires to emulate the lcg models.

68 or newer.
Short front tires still reach up to the top of the axle so shorty LCG front end/spindles
Has a piston pump so no newer than a late.75
I can see 3 lug nuts but can't quite tell if they are 6" or 8" circle.
Betcha they're 6". I would say it;s a typical 2110.

Thanks guys. It's dark by the time I get out of work now so
I won't be able to go look until Saturday. If it's still listed.
Ad says it has a blown gas engine and new rubber.
Looks like the radius rods are bent but other parts look good.
That's the only picture of it in the ad.

2110 or 4110. No way to tell the difference without seeing the model code or determining engine size. Both have dry outboard brakes.

Though I seen a filter on hyd pump, but it is sheet metal around steering.Bad eyes.1968-1974 if it has short spindle then LCG. 2110

It would appear to be either a 2110 or 4110. As Rick noted, there really is no way to tell the difference without decoding the model number.
It's not a 4000 SU because the SU would have a conventional 4000 series back half where this one is clearly fitted with single reduction
axles and dry brakes. Note the PTO lever and the engine mounted hydraulic pump...
Beyond that, it's a gas job, has a generator, short spindles and later thousand series tin in spite of the white stripes...

Does the height of the clutch pedal indicate a live pto/two stage clutch?

I was thinking 2110

It's interesting how we can look at a thing and still miss the obvious.
I saw that side pump, even pointed it out in my post below. And though I know better, it still didn't dawn on me that that side pump indicated it couldn't be an SU till you mentioned it.

Rod - Just curious, how can you tell from that picture that it doesn't have a double reduction rear axle?

PTO lever is for a single rear end.... and if it had a wet PTO it would have either a S-O-S or the hydraulic pump would be in the rear axle
center section, not on the engine. This one has a crash box and an engine pump indicating it's not got a wet PTO, hence the light axle.

Finally got to see this tractor today.
Date code is 4H30b which I took to mean day shift, 30 August 1974.
Having a little trouble with the model though. C435262
No letter on the end that I could see.
Its an 8 speed, front weights are Ford, Ford remote hydraulic valve.

Meant to say, this is why I was having trouble with the model.
Because I was looking at the serial number instead.
Couldn't see the actual model number.

"What did you end up giving for it?"

Cash! LOL I know. I'm a smart @ss.
Ad said the engine was blown. That ended up meaning
it knocked and burnt oil so they quit using it. Still ran.

It belonged to a country club and they had many others to use.
It then sat around for a few years until they decided they
weren't going to fix it, so they might as well sell it.

I'm almost embarrassed to tell you what I paid for it but
I'm sure some of you saw the ad. They were asking $1000.
I don't think I'll be disappointed if it will fit on my trailer.
Those are 16.9 x 24's on the rear. Quite wide.

I wouldn't be embarrased. If a guy is going to horse trade these tractors you have to buy them right. You been doing it long enough to have a pretty darn good idea what it wI'll take time and money wise .
