Ford 5000 front grill?

So I am resurrecting an old 5000. Not super familiar with fords.the serial# says it was built June of 68. I am needing a front grill for it. From what I can tell. It looks like it would take the early model front grill. However the descriptions say that grill fits to May of 68 and from then on they changed. Wandering if you all could tell me which style front grill I need?

I agree with Joe - that one uses the early grill. May
have had tin swapped, may be earlier than June of
'68. Does it have screw-in frost plugs in the block?
What is the unit number? (Should be something like
8F20B)

Nice to see a good old tractor like that
getting a little love.
As others have said, May of 68 was the
transition point on the tin on those but
after almost 50 years who knows what all was
changed. Does the hood have louvers in it?
Can't quite see in your photo.
It should have louvers with that style nose.
They do sell the grill parts here. I have
installed a couple of sets of those and
though they do require a bit of tweaking to
get them to fit correctly they work and look
good when you are done.
Click on the link below for the grills.
Photo is of a 4400 with that grill kit but
the nose, grill and bolster is the same as
your 5000.
Ps, Welcome to the Ford board.

If the s/n is stamped into the trans and not on a sticker under the hood, then it may have had the transmission swapped at some point.

Yes it does have screw in frost plugs. I found the numbers on the transmission. Numbers are 8F25B. I am almost certain the first number is an 8 but it is kinda hard to read. I am second guessing myself lol. Maybe it is a 6 then it would all make sense?

Yeah it is going to be a fun project. It needed a lil love, time and money getting it running, but she is purring like a kitten. I will get more pics posted so you all have a better idea of what it is.

The screw-in frost plugs were used in the 233 c.i.
engine , which matches your early tin, '65 through 4/
68.
8F25B would be a build date of 1968, June 25,
second shift. I would say it's either had a
transmission swap, or the 8 is really a 6. (That
wouldmean iit's a '66)
